The Firm also handled the chartering of Brazil’s fi rst FPSO to operate in the development of fi elds in the ultra-deep pre-salt TUPI oil and gas areas and continues to handle the lease and construction of FPSO’s and other offshore units that will operate mostly in pre-salt areas.

The Firm is also currently advising a client in the sale of a very specialized US$ Billion plus ULCC converted into an FPSO.

Another on-going project is the construction and chartering to Petrobras of two state of the art, technology-edge semi-submersibles.

The team has been recently engaged to assist in the construction of 28 drilling rigs for Petrobras, in a project worth over U$ 20 billion, and in the equipment supply (most notably topsides, thrusters and subsea systems) for 8 new built-in-Brazil FPSO’s.

This counseling involves not only handling the relevant contracts with Petrobras and subcontractors/suppliers, but goes further to assist the client in the acquisition of manufacturing facilities and operational bases in Brazil, so as allow clients to meet national content requirements.

The Firm is also currently advising an array of banks, private equity funds, and upstream and downstream players with signifi cant investments in E&P, refi ning, petrochemicals, ethanol and in the construction of yards, industrial facilities and operational bases. The Firm continues to assist all of its clients in the post-delivery, operational phase of their projects.

The Firm is also assisting clients in the construction and financing or acquisition of refinery and petrochemical plants, as well as power plants (hydro-, thermal-, wind-) and high voltage transmission lines.
